Going to kick the tires and give deviantART another try. It seems that in the time I was gone, the service has improved (the main reason I stopped posting here was because of the ridiculous lag time for submissions to show up on the site). Also did some spring cleaning, and will be posting new work over the course of this week and next.
I've discovered a fascination with photographs of people. As a "people watcher" I love to look at a photograph featuring a person or people and figure out who they are - what they were doing, why they were doing it, etc. Two of my favorite photographers who make excellent use of creating characters and scenes are Diane Arbus and Cindy Sherman.
Recently, I received my first ever digital camera. (A little late on the times, I know.) While I was given the camera to use on my upcoming vacation to Florida, I just could not wait to use it then - I had to experiment now.
And what better subject to experiment on than yourself??
This deviant art gallery will always be a work in progress. My main medium of work will be digital photography with an emphasis in photomanipulation. One would be surprised to see the range of filters and creations one can prepare with Adobe Photoshop.
They are simple for now - I plan to learn more and will experiment more as time goes forward.
(Oh, and if you're wondering - I am not an art student, current or former. I was a poli sci major in college, now working as a legal/marketing assistant in a law firm. Art and photography is my hobby.)
